Pamu Slide Review

Just wanted to give a little review of the Pamu Slide headphones I just got.

I've only had them a day. So this is just first impressions, rather than a comment on their longterm build quality. Although they do feel well made.

These true wireless headphones have just come out and were part of a large indigogo campaign, by pamu who have made headphones in the past.

They currently cost £65 for the non wireless phone charging version (the version I got)

The slide feature is very nice and feels slick. Just slide the front up to access the earbuds. The cover has 4 LEDs to indicate battery left which looks very slick.

The earbuds nest very well into the case and don't fall out.

The earphones come with six sizes of tips so you should find some that fit your ears perfectly.

Pairing is a breeze. Just take them out and search on your phone and they pair right up.

They are very comfortable in my ears and can be worn for hours without getting uncomfortable. Although they feel quite loose in your ears they seem to stay in no problem.

They are not designed to seal in your ear canal but sit up against it. They have quite good noise cancellation, you can't hear people whilst wearing them.

Very easy to take in and out with the stalk that hangs down.

I took a call on them and the audio was clear as day.

The battery life on these things is insane. I am inclined to believe the claimed 10hrs battery life as using them for 2hrs brought the battery down to 80%.

The sound quality is great. Nice base and clear mids and treble. But I'm no audiophile.

They have touch controls on the side. Touching and holding adjusts the volume and one tap pauses. Double tap to skip song. My only grievence is that double tapping the left one doesn't go back a song. But rather launches siri or Google assistant.

The only thing I find annoying with the touch is that if I take an earbud out and put it in my pocket it ends up playing my paused music.

The great thing about these are that you can used each earbud independently and leave the other in the case. Which I often do when I just want one in.

I would have liked the feature where it pauses the music if you remove an earbud.

Charging is via USB C which makes my life simpler.

For the price these earbuds are an absolute bargain and would totally recommend these over any of the cheaper true wireless earphones on amazon. I had some £50 enacfire ones before, which were good but these are a step above.

The only downside is they take over a month to ship. I ordered end of June and only just received mine but I believe they are starting to get them out more quickly now. The price will also slowly go up. So grab a pair whilst they're still reasonable.
